Jaisalmer to Barmer

This post is out of order and was posted to Facebook while my phone was broken, but is a brief summary of Day 1:

Hi everyone! Sorry I've disappeared. My entire cell phone got deleted when I switched over to the India SIM card and wifi has been too spotty to download Facebook. I have been able to post some pics from yesterday to the blog (www.rickconquered.wix.com/april2017).

Yesterday went pretty smooth. We got to our pre determined destination (Barmer) with no major problems. We saw a herd of camel on the side of the road, more goats and cows than imaginable and lots of people.

We learned that we only tend to stall at the worst times (while crossing the start line, or in the middle of busy intersections). We also learned Indians love Mike. While we were getting gas a group stopped just to ask him if he lifts weights and tell me that I was SO lucky to be married to him.

Also, we are pretty sure India will be covered in #BensBells stickers by the time we leave - we are giving them to everyone.

So far we have been driving with a team of three from Australia who seem to have the same mentality as we do. All is going well. Tomorrow we shoot for Palanpur, 270km from here, so it's a long drive. Hoping to be back up and running online in the next few days.
