Some Like It Hot

It has been a sweltering (and I do not use that term loosely) past few days in Tucson. Summer came in like a fire breathing horse God. Since last Friday our high temperature has not dropped below 110 degrees.

This is part of living in the desert, but it has me eagerly anticipating our upcoming trip to Wisconsin. Right now high temperatures in Milwaukee are hovering around the mid-70's. It looks like I will have bring a jacket!
In my opinion weather is capable of being the greatest unify-er or the greatest divider. It is an all too common conversation gap filler. It reigns over so much of our life. "We will have to see what the weather is like." "Have you checked the weather yet"? "Did you hear how hot/cold/rainy/snowy/mild/windy/foggy/etc. it is supposed to "? Mike and I have been known to have lengthy discussions about the weather conditions we have endured. As well as heated (no pun intended) conversations over which is worse: frigid cold or oppressive heat.
Making the best of the weather:
Frankly, I haven't given the weather for The Rickshaw Run much thought. In late March, an April 2016 Runner posted the picture below on the Facebook group. This is Celsius, so multiply by 1.8 and add 32 to get Fahrenheit. Hint: The weekly outlook is pretty darn hot.

When I saw this I didn't pay it much mind, and just moved along. Now, as my flipflops melt onto the asphalt of the Trader Joe's parking lot, I decided to look into it a bit more. I did a quick search of average April high temperatures (in Fahrenheit) for a couple of the cities we know we want to hit while on our adventure:
Delhi: 97 degrees
Jaisalmer (starting point): 100 degrees
Agra (Taj): 101 degrees
Varanasi (River Ganges): 102 degrees
Patna (a city along the way): 99 degrees
Darjeeling (maybe???): 75 degrees
Guwahati (almost done): 87 degrees
Shillong (ending point): 74 degrees
It looks like it will likely start off hot and get cooler as we move East. It's also the rainy season so that will add an additional level of intrigue. This [2016] April, Shillong broke their single day rainfall record! We should probably anticipate a pretty wide variety of weather.
Bottom line: this is going to be one heck of a good time!
